Superb Reading August 8, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have read all of Virginia Lanier's books (date of review 8/7/00). All five are full of excitement and suspense as well as romance and humor. Being a dog lover myself, I was fascinated by the nuances of caring for, training, and working with bloodhounds. I just finished her last book in the series and I will sorely miss Jo Beth and her adventures into the swamp with her magnificent dogs. I am eagerly awaiting the next one!
As we say down here in the South,, DANG GOOD'EN May 23, 2000 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
From the Opening chapter, Miz JoBeth Siddon, drags us along herlife and adventure. Wonderful cultural "Points of the South"along the way. Great new charcters, plenty of old ones to fill out a Dang Good mystery. Funny, sad, scary and full of heart felt quips, fast moving and never boring. Me I'm in love with the dogs, Hound Dogs.
Fun July 19, 1999 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
A well written story with plenty of humor and great characters. A Very enjoyable read, especially for dog lovers.
Another great Lanier read!!! October 1, 1998 Got the hardcover for a looong bus ride across the desert. I was never bored a minute! I almost wish I had a bloodhound after reading this series, although I know they are not a dog for me. The characters are ones you follow from book to book. She should hurry up and write the next one!
a great read --- perfect for a long airport layover October 1, 1998 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is a great remedy for the dreaded boring airport layover. Captures your attention and really keeps it. Something is always going on in the book and it never drags.
