The New Complete Bloodhound November 2, 2008 This book was very good in that it gave the history of the Bloodhound. It also gives great detail of what these dogs are capable of doing. It also tells you how to train the dog and what their short comings are.
Great Bloodhound Book August 31, 2003 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased three bloodhound books this month and have read them all. Had I known how good this one was, I would have only purchased this one. It is a bit pricey, but VERY well written.
The best all-purpose handbook for Bloodhound owners April 12, 1999 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This book is a readable guide to purchasing, owning, raising, and judging Bloodhounds. The unusual breed is affectionately but accurately treated by the experienced breeder Catherine Brey. It is a must for enthusiasts of the breed.
informative, but too much shows oriented August 25, 1998 14 out of 18 found this review helpful
I didn't not like this book, it was pretty interesting and well written. BUT when I read a dog-book the first things I want to read are about the character, habits and special pecularities about the animal. I'm going to buy a bloodhound pretty soon and I'm not interested at all on dog-shows and stuff like that. To me it looked more for bloodhounds effective breeders than for first owners. Informative, but not really well balanced.
